The Raineys It's a great sign of a fiddling album when the shop is visited by the fiddlers of the vicinity checking out the availability of the Rainey Brothers album. The Rainey family were well known traveller musicians in Galway over several generations and their music was recorded in Freeneys pub,Letterfrack,Connemara in 1956. It's a gem.

Edel Fox and Ronan O' Flaherty I remember Edel in the shop as a nine year old trying out the concertinas and marvelling at a unique talent that was there in abundance at such an early age. Ten years later, she was lauded as The Young Musician of the Year(2004)and we waited in anticipation for her maiden album which was released in June 2006. Brilliant, Edel, and your musical partnership with Ronan,on fiddle,is a joy. Don't leave it 18 years as Noel Hill did for the sequel.
