Noel Battle May 2008 release of beautifully uplifting music on the mouth organ. Noel's music has a lift and bounce that is all so rare in traditional Irish music. Its popularity with the musical fraternity in Clare speaks volumes for its quality. Well done Noel!

Kate McNamara Nearly 8 years ago,I visited the McNamara house with a Wheatstone concertina for sale.An early-teen girl approached, took the concertina and proceeded to weave the most beautiful, magical, enveloping music. I departed without the concertina but with her soulful tones indelibly etched in my memory. Kate's June 2008 release of her debut album marks her maiden voyage into the world of recording and without doubt, there will be a long, musical odessey ahead of her. As well as other guest musicians, she is joined by her fiddler sister,Amy and whistler brother,Gearoid. A fully recommended buy!

Johnny Rua and Friends November 2008 release of Wilbrook,Corofin resident/Cork native,Johnny Rua Walsh's first cd. My initial reaction to this album was - thanks Johnny for getting yourself and the "reel" people on a cd that displays the genuine nature of what Irish music is about where innocence and simplicity of style float to the top. I love the tunes, the songs but especially the characters. From all at Custy's "Go n-eiri le do chuid saothair,Johnny".
