Johnny Rua and Friends November 2008 release of Wilbrook,Corofin resident/Cork native,Johnny Rua Walsh's first cd. My initial reaction to this album was - thanks Johnny for getting yourself and the "reel" people on a cd that displays the genuine nature of what Irish music is about where innocence and simplicity of style float to the top. I love the tunes, the songs but especially the characters. From all at Custy's "Go n-eiri le do chuid saothair,Johnny".

Brendan Mullholland,Brendan Hendry and Paul McSherry September 2008 release of traditional Irish music on fiddle , flute and guitar. Frank Brunel and Vincent Rosinach July 2008 release of fiddle and flute music played with a beautiful blend of simple empathy. Frank's friendship with Paddy Fahy, the great East Galway composer,is apparent here with the number of Paddy's tunes and if only the cd is bought with these in mind,it'll be a very worthwhile purchase.
